Vision of the Department:
Philosophy is a pursuit for truth. The departments of philosophy is aim to help students internalize the underlying essence of the life through study of philosophy. It also aim to facilitate them in order to become a self-governed being complete in all respects. Constant encouragement and motivation for excellence are the principles we aim to inculcate in our students to help them become the ideal man with all-round personality.

Mission of the Department:
i) To provide an ambience free from all types of prejudices.
ii) To achieve academic excellence.
iii) To ensure that students get their due opportunities.

Object of the Department:
Some people wrongly think that philosophy does not have any utility. It is like looking black cat in a dark room where it does not exist. But we should note that man has a natural craving to explain the mysteries of life and the universe. Philosophy is the natural outcome of a thinking mind. It is the leading force to reach the realm of knowledge within and without the universe. So keeping the impotency to study of philosophy, the department of philosophy is aim to explore the utility of philosophy to our student. It also aim to grow interest to our students about the study of philosophy. The department of philosophy also help to show the path how to make the mind free from all prejudices, its also teaches that the Indian philosophers never think that the study of philosophy is a theoretical speculation but they think that the study of philosophy is a practical necessity which enables a man to tackle the various problems of life properly and well.
